ICC Approves Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule

cricketbuzztoday: The Telegraph reported that Pakistan is ready to host the Champions Trophy 2025 (CT 2025) as ICC has approved the tentative schedule for the highly anticipated tournament. The CT 2025 opener will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19 at the National Stadium Karachi. Pakistan will be defending its title while New Zealand will be hunting for their 2nd Champions Trophy Title as they won their first one way back in 2000-01.

The Champions Trophy schedule is action-packed as the top 8 teams in ODI cricket will compete against each other. India’s Participation In Champions Trophy Still Uncertain

The excitement is building up but India’s participation is still uncertain in the Champions Trophy 2025. BCCI is awaiting for the goverment’s node to confirm its participation.

The last time both the teams played a bilateral series was in 2012. Since 2013, owing to political reasons, the cricketing ties between both the nations remain disconnected. It is hoped that ICC Champions Trophy might unfreeze the ties between the cricket loving countries.

In case the Government of India doesn’t allow its team to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025 then there might be a possibility of a Hybrid model of the tournament. The last Asia Cup was also played as a Hybrid tournament due to India’s refusal to play in Pakistan.
