Cricketbuzztoday: Former India National Team batting coach Vikram Rathore has been appointed as the new batting coach of Rajasthan Royals (RR). RR has made a major shuffle in its coaching staff by appointing Rahul Dravid as the team’s head coach followed by Rathore as the batting coach. Under Rahul Dravid, India won major tournaments including ICC T20 World Cup. Dravid’s and Rathore’s experience is certainly going to help Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming IPL.
Rathor And Dravid Can Turn Around RR’s Fortune
Rathor was the second fiddle of Rahul Dravid in the coaching department of the Indian National Team. The duo has nurtured a generation of Indian cricketers.
Now in franchise cricket, both reunite to turn around RR’s fortune. It has been a long time since RR won its IPL time. The first and Last time RR won an IPL title was back in 2008 by winning the inaugural edition.
Although, Rathour doesn’t have international exposure in coaching but he has loads of experience in domestic cricket of India.
Rahul Dravid is excited to be reunited with Vikram Rathore. Talking to the press he said “Vikram’s technical insights, calm approach, and deep knowledge of Indian conditions make him a fantastic addition to the Royals. We’ve had great success working together in the past, and I’m thrilled to continue our journey with this talented team. His expertise in developing young players will be crucial as we look to strengthen our squad and aim for greater success.”

Vikram Rathore Aim To Revive Rajasthan Royal Glory
Rajasthan is going through a persistently inconsistent period leading to lower positions at the points table. It has been 16 years since their last IPL title. Although, they finished second in the IPL 2022 yet they are far away from the victory stand.
With roping in experienced coaching staff and allowing captain Sanju Samson to continue, it is hoped that the results will be different in IPL 2025.
Rathore spoke to the press about his new role. He said “It’s an honor to join the Royals family. Working alongside Rahul again and having the opportunity to mentor a talented group of young cricketers is exciting. I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s vision and helping to develop world-class players who can lead the Royals to championship success.”
